L’Occitane arose for one Frenchman’s dream to share the splendor and wonder of his region with the world. Thus the Frenchman, Olivier Baussan, began his journey of sharing the colors, scents and traditions of his region with the world through the L’Occitane brand. His idea was to mix traditions and ingredients from the Mediterrean region into the products for personal care and the home. Sensorality, authenticity and respect are the philosophy of the L’Occitane Company and it is clearly evident in the products origin.
Today the growing appeal of L’Occitane products is evident through its availability in over 60 countries around the globe. In Thailand, LBG Ltd. is the official distributor of L’Occitane products since 2003. Without a doubt the local clientele demonstrates their pleasure and approval of this brand, appreciating the natural aspects of the products that support their well-being, as LBG now operates thirteen outlets. These outlets are found in the most affluent shopping areas and complexes in Bangkok and one store on the popular tourist island of Phuket. Overall, LBG operates two flagship boutiques in Peninsula Plaza and J Avenue; seven outlets in Central department stores at Chidlom, Ladprao, Bangna, Rama 3, Zen, Pinklao and Phuket; and four with the Mall Group at Emporium, Bangkapi, Ngamwongwan and Siam Paragon.

Moreover, LBG is committed to support L’Occitane’s goal of making its products available to a wide spectrum of the population. Therefore, many of L’Occitane’s product labels are found with Braille writing on them to further open up its product line to this special group of consumers. That is why LBG decided to support the Thailand Foundation for the Blind in Thailand, which is under the Patronage of H.M. the Queen. Some of the activities include an annual Christmas gift festival at Peninsula Plaza, where the children sing songs and have other fun activities; connecting sales of L’Occitane products to donations for the foundation; and supporting the “Work for the Blind” campaign.
